In a perfect world, every student would go to college with an abundance of savings and not have to worry about a penny of their college expenses. Unfortunately for most (myself included), paying for college out-of-pocket isn’t possible. Although attending college debt-free is the ideal, going to college in general is important. Sometimes that means assuming some debt is the best long-term strategy. Before assuming loan debt, it is important to look at all available options and thoroughly evaluate what is best for you. Small oversights can result in hundreds of dollars per year in additional interest…so take the time to study up on the possibilities and develop your strategy.
